Hi Everyone,
We thought it was time that we updated you lovely people with a few little bits of news about our latest goings on.
Firstly we'd like to give a massive thanks to the amazing Richard Parker for putting up with us on tour. We had some awesome times with them around the country and can honestly say that if you didn't get a chance to check them out on tour then download their free EP and go an see them next time they play near you - we promise you that you won't be disappointed.
Our EP, A Forest of Hands and Teeth, was recently reviewed by the lovely guys over at www.hevypetal.com. This is one of the first reviews we've received for our EP and we're really grateful for being gentle with us. If you wanted to read the review you can do so here.
We're also currently sorting through the live footage we recorded on tour and we're hoping to get some videos together soon and up for your viewing pleasure. More on this to follow.
Remember you can download our EP free of charge (or pick up a one of a kind hand drawn EP at our shows for £3) from www.thepartyprogram.com so download and spread the love.
We've also got some exciting gigs coming up so it you want to see us live then just head on over to our Facebook page for the dates or check the website.

We don't speak great Italian, so excuse the translation
'A weeks traveling can influence you to such a point, to push you to dig in the local scene for over a month and that's how I came across in Scotland 'The Party Program', which the EP has a sound so bad and rotten that no-one could not fall in love with it immediately. Rhythmic slowness and heaviness of a rock, with melodies that recall the first coming off Poison The Well, all seasoned with beards and lumberjack shirts. The download link will refer you directly to the band's official website, where you can download the EP for free. '
Big thanks to Giovedì and his page for the kind words

Hey everyone, Thought it was about time we updated the blog with some of our latest happenings so here we go.
We've recently finished our latest tour and we had an awesome time (I swear every time we go on tour it just gets more and more fun). Every show was awesome to play and we can't wait to do it all again in June. The dates for June are already up on the Facebook page so have a little look and pop along if we're playing anywhere near you. This time around we're touring with Richard Parker who make some beautiful music - if you want to hear something different we highly recommend checking them out.
Oh! And our Track 'Horses Eating Each Other' was recently featured on the Scottish Metal Radio podcast (if you want to have a listen you can do so here) and we also had a mention in Big Cheese magazine so that was pretty swish.
Big thanks to Rob and Cheese from Knee Deep In The Dead for putting us up - we really appreciated your floors and not having to sleep in a van this time around lol. Also a huge thank you to Knee Deep In The Dead, Bludger, Disasters, The Orchid Family (these guys are probably one of the most interesting bands we've ever played with - totally blew us away), Sunken Monkey, all the other bands we played with and of course everyone who came to watch and made us feel welcome.
AND if you've not done so already download our new EP, A Forest of Hands and Teeth, from our website. It's completely free and please do share it with everyone you know.
I leave you with this picture from tour. We feel it sums up the great time we had:

I hear she fucks like the Somme
Well hello. So here's an update.
Our first gig as a four piece is getting pretty close now (31st March 2011, checkout our Facebook page for times/more on the free stuff we're giving away/bargain t-shirt deals) and we've been practising pretty hard to make sure the songs all still sound good. We think we have succeeded.
Please come down and give us your support; we're not nervous or anything but some excellent bands are playing with us - Knee Deep In The Dead (driving up from Yorkshire just for you and their first gig as a three piece), As Autumn Falls and Plague Vessel - and you'll have fun.
We have also started writing a couple of new songs, one or possibly both will be played at our next gig, There's a little teaser video at the end of this post to show you what we've got so far for you.
The EP, A Forest of Hands and Teeth, is due for release this month and we'll be touring in April in support of it. The dates we're playing and the towns we'll be visiting are on our Facebook page and our Myspace page (if anyone even still uses Myspace...are we uncool? lol).
That's pretty much it for the news so the only thing left to do is show you a video:
See you all on the 31st.

Update
Hey everyone,
Just a short note to let you all know that Shane has decided to leave The Party Program.
We've not fallen out with each other and it's not 'musical differences'; he's just wanting to do other things with his life at the moment and we wish him all the best for the future.
Sad times.

Done and Done
Well it's done. Finished. Over for ever.
No I'm not talking about us splitting up - I'm talking about the recording. We finished doing the vocals at the weekend we should have all the little bits of mixing finished reeeeeeally soon.
We're really happy with the vocals for this EP as rather than focusing on being note perfect and auto-tuned to ruin we'd aim for a more emotive, raw, live sound. Biff did a great job delivering a powerful vocal when he was bellowing like a monster from deepest, darkest Dalkeith and really put a fantastic amount of effort in to making the clean vocals drip with emotion.
Bootchy and myself were worked pretty hard too when it came to our parts (I tasted blood which was...good?) and we're really blown away at how effort Hamish put in to getting us to sound as genuine as possible. Without him pushing us and giving input we don't think the vocals would have sound anywhere near as good (seriously if you're recording give him a chance as he'll really help if you let him).
At the moment we're not sure whether we'll have everything ready for release before tour next month but if we don't it will be our top priority when we get back. We're so excited about our first EP and we want to get it to your ears as quickly as possible.
We also hope to see as many of you as possible at the shows on tour. If you like what you hear come and have a chat - it's not all about selling t-shirts so we can eat though, we really would love to meet you.
See you on the flip side. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!

GUITARS! GUITARS! GUITARS!
Well...we've now finished recording the guitar parts for A Forest of Hands and Teeth and have just the vocals and mixing to go now.
Hopefully we'll have some tracks ready for online streaming before we head out for our tour with Knee Deep In The Dead (if you've not heard them yet then...shame on you! www.myspace.com/kneedeepinthedeaduk).
This tour should be the biggest and best we've done so far as we have a killer new set and songs and have been receiving great feedback from our live shows.
We may have to keep KDITD permanently steam boats so they don't show us up though ;)
There's certainly more I should mention but right now my brain is not working. Sorry.
